My presentation at #FediForum was.. fine. I was super nervous going first, and doing my first tech presentation in a long time. So, it could definitely have been better. But still, I'm pretty pleased at the results, and being able to start showing off #Emissary to a wider audience.

This week, I'm getting ready for #FediForum with a presentation on #Emissary. There's nothing like a hard deadline to make you get your act together.
In the meantime, I'm looking for ways to visually describe my journey over the last 12 months. How does this look?

I've done a TON of work on Emissary, but when you're creating something new it's a challenge to keep "older" installations in sync with the most recent changes.
Case in point: A few weeks ago, I fixed a problem with encryption keys that kept generating new keys every time they were requested (instead of using the keys already there). It shouldn't have been a problem, but now it seems that those old public keys are cached by other live servers I've been testing with.
Hopefully, other servers treat cache invalidation better than I do, and I can finally see posts from this fledgling pate.social server come through on other apps.

Just posted a bunch of new changes to the Emissary alpha site. This makes Emissary *much* more stable, and ready for some serious integration testing. First order of business - Mastodon...

The inbox feature is coming along. You should try looking at some of your favorite YouTube channels in it. Just click "Follow" then enter the URL for the YouTube channel
